01 - Combine the hot coffee and brown sugar in a heatproof jug. Stir continuously until the sugar completely dissolves.
02 - Pour in the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Stir thoroughly to blend all flavors into the coffee base.
03 - In a mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar using an electric mixer or whisk until soft peaks form.
04 - Divide the flavored coffee evenly between two heatproof glasses or mugs.
05 - Gently spoon the whipped cream over the back of a spoon to float on top of each glass without mixing into the coffee.
06 - Serve right away, allowing the cream to remain suspended on top for the authentic Irish coffee presentation.
